Resources

There is nothing better than a good resource.  That’s why I’m filling this section with all sorts of resources and tools you could need when it comes to real estate.  If you don’t see something here that you would like or need, let me know.  I consider myself to be THE resource for all your real estate needs.

If you have questions about the topics listed below, check out my FAQ.  It’s full of helpful information on all these topics and many more.

Financing and Mortgage

One of the most important aspects of purchasing or owning a home is financing. Financing dictates purchase power. The better the financing options, the more purchase power you have. Yet most buyers start the home buying process by looking at homes. The truth of the matter is, the number one step a home buyer should take when they are considering purchasing a home is to research financing. After this initial research, a buyer should sit down with a qualified mortgage professional and get pre-qualified for a home loan. Once you know exactly how much you can afford and what terms you will be using to purchase the home, it puts the ball in your court and you decide how and when your home purchase will take place.

Recommended Lenders

As a consumer you are free to use any loan officer or lending institution you would like to finance your home. As an experienced real estate professional with several years of experience, I have worked with many different loan officers and have found that a truly great loan officer is hard to come by. For this reason, when I discover someone that truly has their clients best interests in mind and can get the job done, I keep them close by. Currently, I recommend the following individuals for financing your next purchase.

Home Maintenance and Repair

Keeping your home maintained is as important to your home’s value as style, size and amenities your home boasts.  Regular, proper maintenance can also save you thousands in costly repairs later.  Over the past years, I’ve also had to keep on on maintenance in my home and the companies listed here have either been in my home or the homes of my clients.  I’d recommend their work and service.

Crime Reports

When buying a home, you obviously want the area in which you are purchasing to be safe. Calling the local police station (not by dialing 9-1-1) and speaking with an officer familiar with the neighborhood is the best way to check out the neighborhood. But as we hope the police officer’s are busy protecting our neighborhoods, they may not have the time to speak with us about the area. I’ve found this site which can give you a basic look at the crimes reported in the area, traffic violations that have been filed, and the registered sex-offenders living nearby. While the information is only very basic, it can give you an idea of what goes on around the house you are considering to purchase.
